Hey Donald,

Thank you for your feedback! I really liked your answers... Thanks for taking the time to fill that out! I think the next step for me is to find a mentor! I wish I could go to a networking event, but a lot of meetups have been canceled... Ugh!

Hello Twana,

Thanks for your honesty about the RE license, that was very clear to me and I appreciate it... So I am on a new route now! Networking is the way to go... Thanks for the support on my career change path that is my next step :)

Thanks Aaron for the feedback !  You are right! I think I just need a career change... for sure... I just thought with a RE liscense it helps to know how the whole process works and knowing people in the industry... But I know RE agents do not have it easy... Thanks for your help ! :)

Hello Bigger Pockets Peeps!

<<<<<Warning long post ahead>>>>>>

My name is Madeleine and I was born and raised in Southern California. I am slightly new to BP, but have been lurking for sometime and do attend webinars... Finally got the guts to make a post today ... deeply wanting some advice, support and to learn about other people's paths into RE investing.

I currently work 2 jobs (Casino and Movie Theater), but during this whole Covid19 experience I am really asking myself... What am I doing with my life? So much for job security...

My jobs have been very draining and unfulfilling and I have bad back problems that are making it more and more clear to me that I need a change... Bottom line I am just not happy where I am at...

My biggest hurdle is where to start ! ?

Everyone seems to have years of experience and knowledge and direction... But I feel a bit lost in my journey...Please help !

For those of you that are RE agents, please let me know what you found helpful in your RE investing career while being an agent ...

Would you reccomend that as a good place to start for newbies to get a license?

I feel paralyzed getting started because I feel like I don't have the skills and knowledge... I am considering getting a RE license..

I choose to learn about RE investing, because it seems like the best path to be financially free and who doesn't want that right ? It is also my inspiration, because my late step father was into rental properties in San Diego, but sadly I wasn't able to learn about it from him, because he passed 6 months ago and honestly I didn't know I would find a passion for it...

The reason I am here is to find some light for my path, because I am just going around in circles, like a chicken with my head cut off... What to do? Where to go? What to study?...What to read ? BP is such a huge RE information hub, but what I wanted to do is tap into the BP members, the people that have made the jump and invested...

Please let me know how did you get started in RE investing???

What would you suggest to newbies ?

What motivates you about RE investing?

What gets you juiced in the morning?

What inspires you about RE investing ?

What are the troubles you have faced while investing?

I am currently taking an online RE investing course from a SD university, but I could use some tips also!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post!
I really appreciate it!
Have a great one!

~Madeleine
