Post: Moving to Louisville in June-Looking to build team+Learn city before house hacking

Hi everyone! My husband, our daughter, and I are relocating to Louisville in June and planning to invest in my first small multifamily property (likely a duplex) using house hacking with an FHA loan early next year.

I don’t know anyone in Louisville yet, but I want to spend the rest of this year wisely—getting to know the city, exploring neighborhoods, and building my local team (agent, lender, contractor, etc ). I’ve been researching areas in Louisville, and I’d love to hear thoughts from local investors or agents about where to focus and what to watch for.

If you’re an investor in the area, I’d really appreciate connecting and hearing your insights on:

  • What neighborhoods to watch (or avoid) for long-term house hacking success
  • Trusted professionals you’d recommend for an investor-friendly team
  • Any local meetups or events worth attending
  • How to best use these next 6–8 months to get ready

Thanks in advance—excited to learn

@Jaycee Greene I'm looking for something in the price range around 200,000 to 260,000 in the okc area . Preferably something that requires some upgrades so I can work to increase the value
