Thanks for the response Kyle. The people i spoke with were all from facebook they were from all ages and looked like some real facebook account. The legal documentation were very well made I’m not good in english, i’m french but the first language of my lawyer is english and didn’t notice anything. Like you said, he probably stole the identity of the guy i thought i was dealing with.

Thanks for your response! I’m currently in contact to make arrangement for a conventional loan with a bank i may be able to get out of this. I have loss the previous monney but was able to find a down payment so hope this will turn out good. What a lessons i just learn ouf.

I planned to rent the property and keep it but now I may flip it to recup my monney loss and start back from scratch!

Were talking of about 10k :( . It was so properly made urgg would love to meet the guy or whoever he is face to face : How could they sleep at night.

Lawyer said that would cost again a lot of money to go after him he may be under a false name as well. I have his driver’s licence so that’s a start if it’s him.

For the deal i need to find the solution so I could at least recup my loss. I cant get out of it because its officially sold. I guess Now i could get sued by the seller if I dont find the monney. I will tried to find the down payment to go with a tradional bank this time lol.

Got a triplex under contract it is worth 140,000 got it under contract at $105,000.

Found a private lender on the BiggerPockets facebook group. Ask for some reference and everyone told me that he was legit and easy to work with.

He had some very well done contract that even my lawyer didn’t suspect anything.

Now after paying loan origination fee and closing cost he disappeared.

The house is officially sold and the closing date is April 27. I dont have monney for a normal down payment because of the FK** monney a spent with him.

What can i do?
