Im planning to continue my education at Elizabeth city state university in the spring or fall of 2021. I want to do my due diligence and was hoping for an insight to what neighborhoods or areas I should steer clear of if any.  I also wanted to start relationships with the local business owners and realtors to get a better understanding the local economy. I won't be able to physically go and see the areas for myself due to the current nature of my job.  I've been browsing around websites looking at on and off market homes to get a better understanding of price market there (checking tax values, wholesale rates,  and homes needing rehab). It's seems like a long time but I know it's perfect for doing my research on a level where I'd feel comfortable with the people and the property. Thanks for the advice and for dropping your names.  I will be sure to follow up.

Looking for an insight from any locals to the Pasquotank county area of NorthCarolina. I'm planning to relocate there for university and am considering a small home purchase.

I've seen homes here for sale for less than $50k . The plan is to purchase the home while attending university and maybe have a roommate to lower the expenses.  I've lived on a college campus before and I know it's not for me.

Please any insight, critiques,  or suggestions and questions are welcome
