Hey everyone,
Exploring financing options for a duplex in New Haven, CT. The lender my agent put me in contact with is telling me that rates for an investment property are currently low 7's with 2 points. 30 yr fixed no Interest Only.... Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

Hey Robin, thanks for the welcome. I want to enter Originations with more experience and a solid book of business with guaranteed deals. (Obviously deals fall thru all the time but knowing a property NEEDS to refi this year is what I’m getting at). Additionally, failing to close a loan over a fiscal year is a huge red flag and usually leads to termination.
I want to dive headfirst into RE investing to gain that experience I mentioned above. I imagine borrowers will be able to relate more to someone with investing experience.
