Thank you, oh I’m aware of my financial responsibility with the loan. I just didn’t know if there was a way to show that in fact I was only paying half. Thank you for the response, have a good one.

The next purchase would be an investment property. She will not be on the loan, are you saying in order for me to show that she is paying half our primary mortgage she would have to be on the investment property mortgage?

Hello everyone, this question is for any lenders in the group. I have a mortgage for my primary residence in my name my fiancé and I both pay half and half. My question is is there a way to show a potential lender that in fact my fiancé does pay half so my debt to income ratio reflects reality? Thank you!

A lot of units! I didn’t dive too deep in the numbers. I like the area I lived 2 blocks over for a couple years. The houses down there are old but hold value! It’s an interesting area B and C class properties just a few blocks away yet plenty of A class on that street. I am boots on the ground I’d be happy to put you in contact with a realtor who specializes in that area. Let me know if ya have any questions about the market or area. Good luck!

I am new as well, however I keep my ear to the ground and I see properties that would work for house hacking. Switch realtors and see what happens.

I would say get a new realtor. Try Rob bergeron, he is a investor friendly realtor here in Louisville.

Hello, so I rent now plan on buying a house in a year or so with my girlfriend. But I want to potentially house hack a duplex for the year. I was thinking I would do a FHA loan 3.5% down for the duplex. How long would I have to live in that duplex as my primary residence? And when I go to but my next primary residence would I be able to do a 3.5% down loan again? i have never owned a loan and have credit score around 775 and make about 60,000 a year with my W2. Anybody with experience or knowledge in this scenario?? Thanks in advance!
