Hey Everyone, 

I was hoping to get some referrals or guidance to help find some lenders in the USA who are open to working Canadian Investors. 

I am a Canadian and I am looking to grow my real estate business down in the US, specifically in Orlando, Florida to start.   We have about $500,000 USD to start investing but we are looking for a good Mortgage broker or lender who has good terms dealing with a Canadian Investor. 

Specifically, looking to see if there are some lenders who will work with 20% down payments instead of 30% foreign buyer down payment as some lenders have quoted me.   

If you know anyone I would really appreciate some referrals.

Hey Everyone,

I am pretty new to bigger pockets and saw this forum for new introductions.

My wife Nikole and I live in Toronto, Canada and have been investing in real estate for about 3.5 years now, currently we have a portfolio of 9 properties ( all long term rentals). Estimated portfolio value of about $5,000,000, but many purchased as High Ratio, due to the high price point in the GTA.

We are both passionate about the environment so naturally we created an Online Wellness Shop focused on Eco-Friendly Home and kitchen items. This is a passion project for us as we love to promote reusable products that reduce 1 use plastic and other items :)

So what are we looking to get out of Bigger Pockets? Well, we love to network with like minded people who share a passion for real estate and business like we do, so hopefully we can meet some amazing people on here :)

On the business side, we are looking to meet experts in the Short Term Rental Game who may be able to help us with a new business venture we want to get into. We are looking to get into the AirBnb business. Since we have a community of over 600,000 people to market to, we would love to be able to offer Curated HealthNut Vacations to our Community.

We definitely feel we have a huge opportunity to fill properties with people who will want to stay in a "HealthNut Home". Ideally, we would be ensuring that all our Short Term Rentals are as Eco Friendly as possible (we would be able to outfit the homes with our whole sale goods for crazy cheap prices) and we would be looking to make them all Pet Friendly, since we also run an Eco-Friendly Online Pet Store :)
