@Cynthia Sandoval

Hi Cynthia,

I was just in the forums looking at random things and your post popped up. Although it’s an older post, I’d love to hear how far you e come since your post. I’m from the Bay Area as well and would love to connect with you and see if you could possibly give me some pointers. I’m a newbie and could definitely use some help.

Thanks

Matt

I got a lead from auction.com and I decided to dig deeper on this property....

I found delinquent tax liens for purchase on the local county website. It appears these can be paid off to purchase the said properties. If we purchase and payoff these tax liens, does that mean we take over ownership of the property? What about any deeds of trust secured against the home? Would that be my responsibility to payoff as well?

@Aaron DiCaprio - Ho Aaron,

Thank you for the story and great info. I was listening to a podcast today by Bryce Steward and he’s from Philly. This guy is extremely smart and he kinda had your story lol.

In his podcast, he was saying Philly is a great place to invest right now. What are your thoughts? Do you invest locally out of state, buy and hold etc. I would like to get your perspective since you have experience first hand and would be able to get me some great insight.

Thank you

Matt

@Mark Hart - Hi Mark,

Thank you for responding to my post. After reading, researching and listening to tons of podcasts, I feel like buy and hold out of state is where I’d like to be. I am a contractor and don’t have too much time to be extremely involved in the property management, renovations, etc. so I think rentals would be something I’d be very interested it.

Any thoughts?

Matt

@Tom Ott - thank you Tom. I’ve read a few articles about turnkey providers. Is that something I’d consider as my first investment property? Would love to learn about what you do and the advantages/disadvantages.

Thank you

Matt

@Corby Goade - Ho Corby,

Thank you for replying to my post and I greatly appreciate the insight. I’ve been interested in investing in Idaho for quite some time. Hopefully you can be of some help to me and point me in the right direction. Are your properties all in Idaho or do you invest out of state as well?

Thank you

Matt

@Norm Martinez - thank you for the great info. I noticed you are on the commercial side of RE. Hopefully that’ll be my next journey once I get a few residential properties under my belt. I’ll be sure to keep in touch with you.

Thank you

Matt

@James Wise - James,

Thank you for the pointer. Do you own any properties out of state? If so, what’s a good checklist to have to go down the list and make sure things check off?

Thank you

Matt
