Very interesting thank you Ned! I'll have to look into that.

Is this information that I would need to work with a realtor with to access? Or can I use realtor.com and like databases to discover most of the information I would need?

Hello Everyone!

I have just recently acquired an interest in real estate and naturally I have a ton of questions. I am doing my best due diligence of course, and it is for that reason that I am here. It would be incredible disservice to myself to not seek out information from this amazing, expansive, and experienced group of real estate investors. With that being said, I thank any and all who take time out of their day in the coming days, weeks, and maybe even years, to assist me in my real estate journey. Hopefully, I will be able to bring value to you in return.

Thanks @Ned Carey! Pardon my sheer ignorance, but what exactly is MLS?

Hello Everyone!

My name is Maxwell and this is my first post on the Bigger Pockets forum. I have recently sparked an interest in real estate and I am wondering how investors stay up to date on the markets and submarkets that they are interested in investing in? Newspapers, forums, television, podcasts, others?  Is it necessary to know as much as possible in a particular town or area before investing? Thankyou to anybody and everybody who takes the time to reply!
