Hi Sean! i agree with Christopher. The one thing I regret was not purchasing a duplex as our first home.   Its a great way to build wealth, and live almost free.  I am  now a Real Estate agent. If you are looking to purchase rental property in Rhode Island, I can help with that. You can private message me. I will be happy to help you find exactly what you are looking for.

Hi Kevin,

Is the property listed on the MLS? The owner-occupied waiting period is common with HUD and FHA properties. Their rules are pretty strict. Not sure about Wells Fargo's rules. You could ask the listing agent.

Hope this helps!

Hi Rick!

I am an agent in RI an I would be very interested in working with you. I understand your needs. I actually got my license because we had a hard time finding an agent who was investor friendly. My husband and I have started flipping houses on the side. I just sent you a colleague request. You can get my contact info from my profile. I look forward to hearing from you!

Thx!

Johna

Just a word of warning about property in RI. Have you heard of the vacancy list in Woonsocket RI?  If a home hits the list, the city slaps the property with tons of violations. Lots of money to get everything cleared up.  Don't call the town with the address to see if it's on the list. You have to go to the city and actually look at the list.

Hi,

I am just getting started in Real Estate. I partnered with a friend who is a contractor, and have just finished our first flip. We are going to put it on the market today. So obviously, my first goal for the new year is to sell at a profit. I have also registered for the real estate course. My second goal is become a licensed real estate agent. My third goal is to flip another house before the end of the year. Any advice is welcome! Thx.
