Thanks Kevin for the info. Just when I think they couldn't possibly ask for another piece of documentation....bam....they need more. Like wow. I'm wondering if my first mistake was going with WF instead of a bank that consistently works with REI, like those listed here on BP. Next property I'm going to try going that route.

Hello Jared! Thanks for the response!  I used the USDA map locator to make sure they did actually fall into the eligibility areas, so I do know that they qualify. I will definitely zip over to the economic improvement page to see if anything like that exists. Chances are good it does as it is in an area that tends to be economically depressed (but it is set to explode with growth). I plan to hold onto it for at least 5 years.

Hello all....super rookie here.

I have run the numbers on a ton of properties and have finally located a few worth exploring. I already have preapproval so I'm good there. However, I just found out that all of these properties qualify for USDA. What are your thoughts on using that? Have any of you gone that route? I know as an investor I would not be able to use it, but the way I'm running this right now, I'm putting my daughter into the home (while she attends college) and setting it up as her first time home buy (so then we would qualify). Once she leaves school, my thinking was to convert it over to the RE biz. Love your thoughts on that plan as well.

Thanks!!!!
