Thank you Anson for replying.  My partner wants me to find the property and place it under contract under his LLC.  And his writing up the contract in which am going to suggest a lawyer look over it.  He will be a silent partner, will only be responsible for obtaining a hard money loan, any suggestions about what should be in the contract.

What would be the proper steps to take to make sure that partnership is fair and protected?

This person am partnering up with would like me to find the property, place it under contract and then have me sign a contract between him and I. What should I make sure is in the contract before I sign?
