We've been trying to get a contractor in to repair one of our fire escapes and it has been a miserable experience. There only seems to be one contractor in the area that does this kind of work and he is gouging us. For the cost ($40k+) I figured maybe an out-of-towner would be willing to do it. We have an analysis/plan from a certified engineer. Anyone we use needs to be licensed and bonded. This is in the Hampton Roads part of Virginia. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm always looking for property. Haha

Similar to a lot of other members here, we experienced a lending drought in the Hampton Roads area. We turned to a local credit union but they have been getting skittish. Finally, we gave FOAC a call. We got a term sheet from them on May 17th. Since then we have been handed around between reps and we can't get our calls returned. Is this their process or is something weird going on?

Hi,

I'm Meryl, long time lurker first time poster. I'm a partner in a company that does full on rehab projects, flips and buy and hold on both residential and commercial property. I appologize if it takes me a while to respond... I'm kind of a luddite.
