@Michael Tal

 Like I mentioned earlier, it's a group with international members where we assist each other in finding deals and obtain funding for them. A lot of us own equity together in certain wholesale projects due to us actually being able to afford them with ease with multiple people involved in it.

 any idea how I can get started finding a syndicate? I feel like it's something I could benefit from since I'm not that experienced

 I have no clue, but I feel like most syndicates including mine are always in the search of getting more people on-board since the more members you have, the better wholesaling deals you can obtain. You should be able to find them quite easily, if you're interested in getting to know the syndicate, feel free to message me as getting more members in our network is something we're willing to do.

Being from the UK, where the market is quite limited I tend to do most of my work with an international group of people. This has many upsides especially considering that I'm not limiting myself to deals solely found in my own country. Having connections in Canada, Israel and within some states in the United States allows us to share and find deals amongst ourselves. In my opinion, joining a syndicate is definitely worthwhile as long as it's not created with the intention on profiting upon the other members (which is what I feel like majority of them are).

Sounds like all your trouble was caused by a contractor you couldn't trust. At least you learned your lesson and realise the importance of contractors who don't lie to you and get their job done efficiently.

For managing and listing there are a lot of services available a simply Google search away, but for actually hosting and maintaining the property I don't think there is anything specific for that. Having a family member take care of it would be ideal as outsourcing it to a company/private individual will eat up on your profit margin significantly.

A lot of my deals that I have done are through my international syndicate due to the fact that I'm from the UK. I have never visited any of these properties and as weird as it sounds, I feel like in the current times, most things can be done over the internet or a simple phone call.

It depends. Some may think that flashing your wealth off somehow gives you credibility, so if you believe that then sure go ahead and buy a Mercedes to help you with that. However, in my opinion it's far more about your integrity and your character as a person in which materialistic items won't help in that aspect. As cliche as it sounds, you claim you're a modest person so why not be yourself? People will easily realise when you're out of character and if anything it makes you seem like a slimy salesman who they can't trust if they have a gut feeling that something is off about you.

Briefly glancing at those figures, I don't think a $10k cost for a 3rd bedroom will increase the property value by that much to outweigh that initial cost. Another thing you should keep in mind is that the estimates written on Zillow are merely ESTIMATES. They are definitely not representative of your true house value or the other houses across the street.

Hahaha that article is hilarious. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that the landlord didn't decide to sue them earlier, why in the hell did he let them live rent-free for 2 years before taking action?
