49 and 44 year old physician/realtor couple with the 49 yo physician looking to transition to partial/full retirement from medicine in about 3 1/2 years. I (the 49 yo MD) am looking for things to do as I approach that retirement. Always have been interested in real estate but haven't pulled the trigger. Real estate investments primarily syndications so far. Interested in multifamily/commercial real estate, STR or MTR either owning completely or with partners or small syndications. Currently set from a financial standpoint unless we pour money into something completely stupid or kill our nest egg through the poor use of leverage, so I'm looking to learn through these forums and looking for a mentor/partner that I can learn/invest with. Looking to start small to learn and then grow as I/we become more familiar with the process. Would like to eventually self-manage when I retire unless real estate portfolio gets so large that its unwieldy to do so. Feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss or find out more.
