@Marc Rice absolutely! There’s a few in town I certainly trust and a few I certainly avoid. I would only provide it if the investor is willing to pay for certified contractors that pull permits when needed and don’t try to cut corners. I’m happy to consult for a % of total contract if you would like me to be GC as well

Hello all! In this environment I’ve recently sold my two houses and am not doing any more rehabs for the foreseeable future.
In the mean time, I wanted to see if any investors were looking for a third party to walk through their rehabs to verify that all work had been done as agreed upon. If so, feel free to reach out! I have experience in all aspects of rehabbing houses and am happy to provide my services so that you don’t end up with shoddy work that I’ve seen so many times.
I’m located in the Columbus, OH area and am available anytime.
Pricing will depend on scope of work and trips needed, but varies from $150 and up. Pricing includes pictures, report of areas that need improvement, and opinion of overall quality.
Post: Housing Voucher Tenants - Help!

I have a tenant in a property that I own that uses a housing voucher. We inherited this tenant when we moved in, but will be ending the lease in a few weeks.
After doing the paperwork and sharing it with the housing agency, I thought everything was good to go. She reached out and said that her appointment is the day before the lease end date, and that she can’t get a new voucher for 3-6 weeks after, so she can’t move until then. We gave her 53 days notice (only 30 required in Ohio on a month to month lease), and have followed all needed steps.
This is an issue because we have contractors lined up to complete some needed renovations and will ruin a lot of our timeline.
Has anyone experienced this, or is the tenant just trying not to move? The tenant is incredibly difficult to deal with as she smokes in the home, doesn’t pick up after the dogs, doesn’t maintain the property, and rarely pay rent on time.

Hi everyone! New to this forum and looking to network a bit. I live in Columbus, OH, and own a home and a rental. A bit about me, i’m a Commercial Banking Portfolio Manager by day where I manage of portfolio senior debt for companies in the middle market space. I’ve financed several landmarks in the area and have a lot of experience structuring larger ($5M-$50M) debt deals, acquisitions, balance sheet recaps, etc.
I’m newer to the real estate game as I just bought my first property with a business partner and we plan to rehab, hold for five years, and sell and keep rolling into bigger deals.
I’m looking for contractors and locals to network. I’m mainly looking for contractors wanting to do rehab work for fair prices. lastly, I want to network with more experienced real estate professionals. I’d be happy to share my knowledge for yours anytime!
I currently am about to begin rehabbing my rental, would love tips, pointers, and recommendations for local contractors in the area.
Thanks again!
