I too have just started my real estate journey in Oceanside. Bought my first condo in Dec. 2019. Moved in and had to move right back out, due to mold found. After water started pouring through the roof and light fixture in the master bath from the unit above. Just moved back in last week. Planning on moving out next year and renting it. Was able to basically remodel both bathrooms and replaced all the flooring. Morale of the story get a good home inspector, & have plenty reserves. There is a BP meet up for North County. Last meet up was a couple of weeks ago. It's one a month.

Hey Tom,

   Live in Oceanside and just purchased my first property at the beginning of the year.  Renovation is almost done and will be moving in for the remainder of the year.  Planning on turning it into a rental next year. It's been a wild ride so far, but wouldn't change it for anything. Valuable experience with all sorts of problems. Feel free to reach out with any questions.
