What are your thoughts on the current real estate market for multi-family units (2-4 units). What I am doing right now is purchasing a duplex, going to live in the top unit, and thier are already tenants in the bottom unit. The downstairs unit rent will pay for my mortage payments and insurance. leaving me to only pay for my own utilities every month. Since im going to live in it i only have to submit 3.5% compared to 20% downpayment which is nice. I plan on living in it and doing it with a few more properties if everything goes well. I would like to hear other peoples experiences with multi family housing please!!!
