Welcome Justin!

My name is Mikaela and I am a local real estate agent with Edina realty! I am also just starting my investment journey and have helped a few friends get their first investment! Podcasts, books, ect, are all great! I think something that is super helpful is using the bigger pockets rent estimator tool and rental property tools to run numbers on some different properties and practice finding good deals so you know what to expect when you get into it. It is also helpful to see what neighborhoods and areas are most profitable and have the highest cap rate!

@William Anderson thank you so much for that response! It was super encouraging! Down the road my goal is to own STR out of the country and its really cool to hear of someone who is doing it successfully! Also, good to know you can hire a property manager and make the numbers work! Thank you again!

@John Underwood thanks john! that is super encouraging and a great way to save money!

@Joshua Messingerthis was super helpful!! Thank you so much Josh!

thanks @Luke Carl! I'm going to buy the book right now!

I am looking to buy my first long distance vacation rental. I have done research and found a few property management companies in the city. I am wondering if this is the best route, or if a service like vacasa makes more sense for the convenience factor? Any input is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Jacob! I will be there tonight but closer to 5. I am a local agent and am bringing a friend who wants to get into investing! We both are newbies but excited to learn and meet the real estate investing community!

It was 5.4% fixed 30 year!
