I agree, thanks I'll check it out.

@Deep Johal, AirDNA looks like a really awesome tool, but it's not cheap.  I'm trying to evaluate the purchase of a property for Airbnb and it's tough to justify dropping $99/month except for maybe one month.  Or do you only use the free information that they provide?

Just an update.  I did bid on this property again for the 4th time yesterday.  Same as before I stuck to my price and I was quickly out bid.  The auction ended yesterday and I saw this morning that the next auction (5th) is scheduled for 12/4...

Thanks Mark, that's what I figured from what I had found on BP but I was still surprised to see it hit the auction block 4 times!!

I'm going to stick to the price that I think is a good deal for this property and continue to bid if it works out great.  Otherwise I'll just find another deal.

Thanks for the pep talk @Account Closed I'll keep at it.  The next auction (4th for this property) starts on Fri 11/27.

I have been looking on Auction.com for some foreclosures in my area and I actually found a decent property nearby.  It's a 2/2.5 with 956 SF and while I haven't been able to get in I have walked around the property I did look in all the windows.  The widows are newer and the roof is in good shape.  The inside looks nice.  It does concern me that I can't walk through the property but I've tried to factor that into my offer.

My question is that this house has gone up for auction on Auction.com 3 times now (a fourth is scheduled as we speak)!!  In my research I've found that the house is owned by BOA and I don't think the reserve has been met but will they not budge?  I have just stuck to my highest offer price but every time I get out bid at the last minute then the next day it's back on the site to be auctioned off AGAIN....frustrating.

Also, I have read through several posts about Auction.com but I would be open to any additional suggestions about trying to buy property from this site.

Thanks, Mike.

Good morning Bigger Pockets!

I have been a member of Bigger Pockets for about a year now but I'm re-releasing myself to the wild because I've recently moved down south to East Tennessee.  We moved from central Massachusetts down to live in the Tri-cities area.  To be specific we live in Bristol, TN.

My long term strategy is to be a buy and hold investor in multi family or mobile homes (since they are very prevalent in East TN).  We are trying to build up to that though over the next couple of years starting with single family rentals.  Right now we are looking at foreclosures, REOs and FSBOs in and around Bristol.

Are there any local REIAs or networking events that anyone is aware of? Any other suggestions or tips for a new investor to the area would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike
