It seems to be a very nice area. I think it would depend on what are you trying to build, a gated apartment vs SFH would make difference in such area.

Would building apartment cost diff a lot than building townhouses?

Wow, my area is much more expensive than that, I heard it would between $200-$300 per sqft + design and land cost.

I own a 6000 sqft lot which is allowed to build a ~14000 sqft apartment. The lot is near to an university so there shouldn't be any issue with getting tenants. I am doing some analysis on whether I should sell it after permit is approved, or build it and rent out. I built several SFHs before but I have never built an apartment. I was wondering if someone knows the details of cost to build an apartment? I am also willing to pay for things like cost sheet of finished projects. I'm in Seattle area.
