Hi all,

Looking for information on how to rent out an in-law suite in Malvern PA. I am hoping to purchase this home but want to make sure I can utilize this addition before I do. I have called the county and have yet to hear back. I am looking specifically for anyone who can help advise me on what kind of things I need to be aware of when it comes to permits/rules/zoning. This property is in R1- Low density housing. Specifically:

1. Can the county keep me from renting this out?

2. Is this different from standard renting because technically it is part of the home and does not have a separate address?

3. There is no stove in it. Do I have to get a permit for this? Can they tell me no?

Thanks so much!
