Post: Tenant misdemeanors disqualified

I know of a couple in their late 20's looking for a rental in the Tamaqua, Pa area. They both work in the local factory, with good pay and have 3 children. The lady 6 years ago had 2 misdemeanors for being involved in a bar fight. 6 years ago, mind you! They have had no luck getting  into a rental because of this. What I want to know is, would you rent to them if everything else looked great? If not, why? I'm just starting out in the rental world and I'm cautious. I also have nothing available for them, but the scenario has raised questions for me. Opinions please.

What are the risks of purchasing a judicial sale apartment unit? Also I have done some studying and if I understand correctly, I'm reading its a lien free purchase. Has anyone experienced differently? Schuylkill County, PA.
