@David Martinez thank you. It is for sure overwhelming trying to learn everything and look for leads when I don’t even feel confident that I know what I am doing. I’m okay if it take me a couple of months to really get my feet under me since I do have my current job to fall back on. But it is nice to know others felt the same when they started and pushed through and had some success.

@Patrick J. We have a few online resources and there is supposed to be an on boarding program that I go through in January. I think they hosted a class about goal setting earlier this month but I was out of town and unable to attend. A lot of stuff I have been reading and listening to on podcasts has talked about the importance of goal setting and having a plan too so I will definitely take your advice and make that my priority.

@Patrick J. Wow thank you for sharing your knowledge! That was really helpful I’ve heard the term farming but haven’t taken time to dive into what it means. I would probably be lazy at home too. Luckily my brokerage allows us to go to the office and do some work.

@James Wise what have you found to be the most beneficial marketing and cost effective plan?

@Jonathan Greene well I will be buying and reading that book as soon as I can. Thank you for the recommendation.

@Lydia S. That is encouraging 😊 and yes I need to start meeting with lenders.

For the open houses did you have a “go to” line that you used with people to break the ice and find out if they had an agent?

@Joel S. Yea I agree with you. Luckily my current job is pretty flexible on what hours I have to work so it allows me to commit time to learning about real estate and getting clients.
