Thanks, Aaron Smith! Nice to meet you. I definitely see the advantage in looking to cheaper areas, but I feel like I need to jump right into something or I'll fizz out. I'm going to try and get into something before the end of the year.

Hello Scott! I'm a newbie in Bountiful as well. I just posted my introduction and decided to see if anyone else was in the area. Right now my goals are the same as yours, creating about 10K passive income. I'm currently looking into buying a triplex or fourplex for my first investment, will probably use a conventional 30 year mortgage. I'm still educating myself as well, but I really think this is the best way to go.

My name is Matt Ormsby, I'm an attorney in Bountiful, Utah. I almost bought a 4-plex 12 years ago and chickened out at the last minute. I've regretted it ever since. Now I'm realizing retirement might not happen if I don't do something extra. I'm looking to buy a multifamily unit right away and then maybe do some flips to make the cash needed for a second building. Any ideas on the best way to find available multifamily? Perhaps someone knows an agent who specializes in that area? I'm reading posts, listening to podcasts, and reading as many books as I can. I would love to make this my full time job. Thanks in advance and I look forward to being an active participant on the forums and in the business.
