@Odie Ayaga you are absolutely right. I am from Ohio and I am familiar with the areas, Akron in particular. Homes there are inexpensive and it’s a good rental market so I’m looking to invest in single family homes there.

However, I live in the NY/NJ area where multiple family units are common (different from Ohio unless it’s around the university areas) NJ of course is very different than NY. I’m looking to invest there, specifically the Passaic county area.

I travel between both regions quite often so that’s where I would want to start.

Hello all! I am new to Bigger Pockets and to real estate investments in general.

Although, I am seeking to invest in NYC, NJ, MD, and OH I am open to other markets as well.

I am looking to invest in multi-family units on the east coast, flipping properties and buying single family homes in Ohio.

Please feel free to share your knowledge and any recommendations. I will do the same.

I look forward to being an active member and networking with you all!
