@Jim K. Yes that’s correct I’ve began removing and there’s still some patches left from the removed popcorn ceiling.

I’ll check out the new forum! Thanks.

@Jim K. Thanks for the help! I’ll definitely go that route. I take it the first paragraph is for removing the paint. I don’t need to do anything other than that until I’m ready to paint, correct?

Hey BP

In my home office i has this popcorn ceiling that kept peeling and falling off so I decided to remove it and get rid of it myself. I’m also done with removing it and there’s this thin layer of paint/glue(?) left In some portions of the ceiling. How would I get rid of that? And do what would you guys recommend doing this ceiling with. Sanding and painting over, drywall and paint, etc..

Trying to post a pic but not sure if I can here..

@Alex K. 50k for these houses is very hard to come around, I agree. Not too familiar about turnkey but I read about it a bit in the book. Does turnkey refer to the condition of the house, or the method of going through a third party to get deals, property management, etc.. I’ll definitely be open to connect soon. Thanks!

@Drew Sygit my first house will be with a 20% conventional loan. After that I might start looking into BRRRR strategies in order to buy more properties faster. I appreciate your advice!

@Drew Sygit I'm looking to get to long term buy and holds. Not looking to BRRRR necessarily, but houses with some renovations would be fine

@Chris Mason great information! when you say things you need to “not like” is very broad in scope— are you stating many investors who do this tactic could easily use the inspection to get out of an offer?

Hey BP,

One of the things i came across while reading Brandon Turners- the book on rental property investing- says “analyze 60 houses a month, make offers on 6, have 1 agreed upon”. Not sure how this process works. If I was to make offers on 6 and somehow all 6 get accepted, am I obliged to purchase all 6? Are offers legal binding contracts to purchasing the property if accepted by seller? Or is there an option to back out?

Thanks!
