Post: Ensuring new electrical is up to current NEC

Hello all! I recently purchased my first home and I am trying to ensure that it is up to current National Electrical Code standards. I’m noticing that most places I look that the price of the book is about $129 which isn’t too unreasonable. However, I am using it for this quick inspection for myself and the code changes relatively frequently so that if I were not an occupational electrician (I’m not) then I would have waisted that money by the next time I use it as it will likely be outdated. I also prefer to read it digitally so that I can search the pdf with ease. Do any of you have guidance on how to access the 2020 NEC for a more reasonable price?

Thanks in advance!
