Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

I was able to get the Keyword Alerts set up, thanks Larry.  It sounds like a great way to stay informed on local posts.  I actually have been a long time lurker on this site.  I have been keeping up with J Scott's progress for a few years now and learning from everyone.  I have both of J Scott's books and am currently working my way through them.

I am very grateful for my wife taking on the challenge of obtaining her real estate license and she is very supportive on this venture.  Our vision of our future together is bright and a lot different than working our current jobs.

Hello everyone! 

My name is Nick Deppe and I have always been interested in starting up a rehab real estate business.  I am a US Navy veteran.  I served from 1999 to 2003 as a jet mechanic (aviation machinist mate).  I currently work at a power plant near Bakersfield, CA.

My main goal for this year is to complete 2 rehabs.  My wife is currently getting her real estate license to aid on learning the market, finding deals, putting in offers and selling our rehabs.  I'm currently working on our business plan and putting together the rest of the puzzle as we get things going.

I look forward to networking and learning here as my business get going.
