Sounds good. Thanks all. I'll take a look at portage park and Jefferson park. Would condos / TH / single fam work as well or you seeing better w MF units?

@Nick G., you're going to have difficulty trying to get decent CoC that close to you. Very competitive areas, esp for multifamily. If you are willing to come a bit further into Lake & McHenry counties, you have more options. All the best!

Thanks Martin.  I am open to it.  What areas would you suggest in Lake & McHenry counties?

Also any good tools to look at historical data of demand vs. rental price.  One thing Im worried about outside of the city is how quick it would be to get quality renters.  (I can find cheap areas / but looking for sweet spot of distance, demand, price).

Any thoughts about Evanston / Rodgers park?  That isn't so far from me either?  I'd like to ideally be within a 10-15 mile radius for both prospecting and management.

I am in Glencoe and want to seek investment properties that aren't terribly far away.  Has anyone been successful in any N or NW Chicago suburbs to easily rent and get cash flow?  If so which suburbs and types of properties are you targeting? (MF, SF, etc.)
