Thank you all for the advice. I'm concerned about the taxes in Montgomery County too. I've been looking with a realtor for a few months now and the prices that I've seen for the type of houses I'm looking for are more than I'm willing to spend. I have to keep searching and be patient. Thanks.

Hi, I'm in Philadelphia now, but originally from Jamaica. I've been on the site and listened to the Bigger Pockets podcasts for a while now.

I want to pursue FI through buy-and-hold rentals. I'm looking for a small multifamily in the area to live in one unit as an owner-occupant and rent out the rest of the property.

Any suggestions and advice will be very welcome.
