That is wonderful, thank you for sharing your win, it made my day and gave me some much needed encouragement! 

I have been debating whether to start out with an LLC or just start out with rentals in my name. Does it matter when you are first starting out and is there is a magic number of rentals, that once you hit, you should make sure you secure your LLC at that time?

Hi Kim,

That sounds nice! I havent figured out how to PM yet, but I would have liked to start out in the St. Johns area, but that will have to wait at least a year. I have to overcome the financing side. I continue to hear you have to get creative but I have never been one to ask for money, granted I understand the point is to pay it back, but I have not built up to that point yet. I  hope to save enough for a small deal and then continually build on that...or until I am comfortable with other creative strategies.

I am new to RE investing. I grew up with parents that have a few rental properties and worked in property management for 4 years, and an MBA, but I want to get into RE investing on another level full-time. I have been wishing, and researching, and strategizing the types of properties my husband and I would invest in, how we would manage them, and its time to take another step. The biggest hurdle is financing, so once that piece is solved for, we will be able to take another step. For now, we are looking to network and learn from others already in the business who are willing to share lessons and things they wish theythey knew in the beginning.

Thanks @Brendan Perlee, that helped me as I did not know whether to look where I currently reside, Jacksonville, FL or to where I will be moving back to, which is the Charlotte, NC area. Great post!
