If you are an experienced investor used to renovating properties, it might be OK, but if you have not done that before, I would not recommend that area. Akron itself has been losing population consistently for the last 50 years. I think only investors who are experienced and who have an intimate knowledge of the Akron market should invest there.

Hi all, I'm new to out-of-state real estate investing, and am thinking about purchasing a SFH on Margaret St, Akron (near the border of Middlebury and University Park). The property is marketed as class B, but I've read some BP posts saying it's a rough area. I'd really appreciate any insight about the neighborhood. Thanks in advance!
