Welcome @Megan Roder to BP from another from WI. Find the local REIA meeting to make more connections. It's a great place to learn as well.

Welcome to BP @Joe Wittlin , from the Eau Claire area myself. I too have the same goals in mind. BP is the best site I've found out there for people with the same mindset. It definitely can help to provide information to accomplish those goals. Good luck.

@Jason Cooper Welcome to BP!
I also live in the Eau Claire area. You're correct regarding REIA in Eau Claire. I have been in contact with someone who has started a REIA in Wausau and was interested in starting one here in EC. I plan on trying to solidify some of those plans this month at the next REIA meeting in Wausau. You should come. I believe the next meeting is 4/21 at 630 PM. As it gets closer, and if you're interested, I can give you more information.
Great to see another BP member from EC. Let me know if you have any questions.

Welcome @Jeanne T. it's good to see others from Wisconsin on the site.
I should've thought about that. Thanks Joel. Since I'm just getting started in my area(Western Wisconsin), I had thought about going the wholesale/flipping route. I still need to do a little research on the housing/rental market in the area as there are some major projects going into referendum in my vicinity that could force some major changes as I see it. Ultimately, rental and commercial property is my goal until I can be more on the investment of major land renovations end of things.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Nate
Hello Bigger Pockets,
My name is Nate and I am new to the real estate business. I am currently in the Northwestern part of Wisconsin and am having difficulty finding others in my position to work with. I happened to stumble upon this website and am thrilled at the positive energy and sense of community that I have seen thus far.
As far as I can tell, there is no REIA group on this side of the state. Hopefully, this site will help to increase my network of potential lenders/partners. That being said, can anyone help me out with some ideas of how else to increase my network? Additionally, does anyone happen to be in my neck of the woods that would be interested in discussing the market and local trends?
I look forward to becoming more engaged in this website.
