If I'm out of state, is it wrong for me to ask my realtor to check out a house I want to purchase and make sure it is solid? My realtor knows how to look at houses and sold many houses already. I don't want to over reach

What is the normal process ?

How should I protect myself ?

What steps should I take to make sure they are selling me what they say they are?
