Hi everyone, I’m a new investor in Boston, Massachusetts. So there was a condo looking  in Boston, it looked great overall until I decided to get an inspection. During the inspection, It was discovered that the baseboard had a crack in it due to water leakage(in the basement), and with breaking away, slowly.

The furnace wasn't working at the time of inspection and there was a leak of water not from the unit was thinking of purchasing but from a different unit. The HOA has a reserves of 1K and also the inspector also told me that he's been to this house before and the same board that holds the foundation of the home still cracked from five years ago.

Also itwas discovered is that the water pipe is made out of lead as well. I’m scared that this opportunity will cost me a lot more in the future cause, at the moment, I don’t have time to fix different things in the house. Also, there’s evidence of rodents being in the crib due to  ultrasound plugging in the wall

I’d like to know what you guys think about this ?

Hi Everyone, I'm Olubiyi Ojo(Boston, MA) and recently have really engaged in learning everything I can about real estate. As of right now, I'm currently analyzing 2br 2bd condos on the MLS in Plymouth county. I wondered if it was worth using the 3.5 % down payment on the condo vs. an actual home? I'm also looking for a creative way of finance this future deal with a partnership or private money. Any insight is welcome
