Hello,
I’m in the process of purchasing a pre licensing package from The CE Shop and wanted to know if anyone had a referral code they wanted to share.
If you do, you get $25 and I would get 35% of my purchase, which would be greatly appreciated!
If you need to figure out your referral code, go here please!

Thanks!

This just helped me a lot because I’ve only just learned about this a week ago, and you’re right everyone teaches it as an amazing real estate strategy. Which is why I made that other post asking if it was possible to be an agent (as I always planned) and do wholesaling.
How to agents get away with it then?

Thank you all for your responses!
This is interesting and I see I have more research, and now I have so many other questions.
The immediate question that comes to mind is, are wholesalers normally secretive or unethical?
Could there be a scenario when you disclose to the owner that 1. You’re an agent but not operating as one in this transaction. 2. you’re willing to offer x amount of dollars for their home due to it needing work and then you tell them that your intentions are to assign it to a buyer?
Now that I’ve written that out, I guess it could be a slippery slope.
I could have the wrong understanding of wholesaling as well and I also haven’t studied for the exam yet so I don’t know the laws.

My name is Paris and I’m a young professional in Washington, DC looking to hit the pavement and start my journey in real estate as an agent but also very very optimistic about wholesaling.
Looking to connect, find a mentor, and contribute my current skills to an experienced real estate investor/agent/wholesaler in hopes of developing new ones and starting my own business in the future.

Hello There!
My name is Paris and I’m a young professional in Washington, DC looking to hit the pavement and start my journey in real estate as an agent but also very very optimistic about wholesaling.
My hopes are to start a business but in the meantime I’d love to get my feet wet.
Please feel free to share in knowledge, books, podcasts, or anything else that would help.
Until I’m comfortable, I’m also looking to contribute to an experienced real estate investor / professional! I’m not sure what that looks like but I’d love to help with anything from cold calling to graphic design / marketing.
I’m a great people person and have been told I’m an “adaptable”, to the point and excellent conversationalist so that helps when it comes to networking and negotiating!
Anyone in the DMV area, I’m happy to link up!

I live in Washington, DC and I’m planning to purchase and study for a real estate license in Maryland and I will apply for reciprocity in DC, thereafter.
I’ve always had in my mind that I would get into real estate, especially since I’m still young (mid 20s), I love real estate, and because I have a great deal of financial knowledge (but no real capital..haha).
I’m just learning about wholesaling and I’m curious to know is it possible to ethically wholesale and be an agent? Even if you’re not operating in both capacities at the same time.
Moreover, I don’t want to just “do” this, I would like to start a business in this and wholesale outside of the DMV as well as offer services that would compliment real estate investing.
So far I’ve listened to a ton of podcasts from Steve Trang, Max Maxwell, Alex Saenz, The Norton guy, I’ve read things from some of you on forums, watched YouTube videos on both being an agent or being a wholesaler. I’m super motivated and want to start this journey. I just don’t want to run into legal issues.
I’m sure this question has been asked before but I found Google overwhelming with “uncertainty”.
