Welcome to Bigger Pockets ! You have come to the right place to begin your investing journey.

Have you looked into attending local meetings and joining Facebook groups?

John, thanks for reaching out. I belong to plenty of FB groups. I prefer to meet people in person. I have been looking for local events. Not to many from what i see here in Jacksonville FL.

Welcome to BP!

Transitioning to full-time real estate involves strategies to scale your portfolio and grow capital. Building a network, finding mentorship, joining local REI groups, and expanding your portfolio through larger investments can help. Learning about fix-and-flips and leveraging private or hard money lenders can help finance flips. Focusing on growing capital, reinvesting profits, diversifying investments, and using tax strategies is crucial. With two years left until military retirement, prepare for retirement and investing by building cash reserves, developing multiple income streams, and growing education.

Good luck!

Appreciate the insight. My main focus right now is finding my next property. After that I'm trying to figure different ways to buy with less capital.

Hello BP world,

My name is Pat. I love everything and anything to do with real estate investing. I have had failures in real estate when I was younger and those lesions are worth more to me then gold. In the past 8 years, I have bought 3 investment properties in 2 different states using 3 different loan types and they have been a great success. I have been in the military for 19 years(primarily a background in engineering) and I have 2 years left before I retire from active duty. I will soon graduate college with a degree in finance and accounting, I hold a PMP certification along with a few others and plan to work on my real estate license and maybe in the next couple years obtain a residential contactor license. When I separate from the service I plan on making real estate investing my full time job. I currently live in North Florida and plan on moving to South Carolina in 24-36 months. I am looking for a mentor/partner that can show me how to scale faster and better ways to grow capital. I would be a great asset to your team and bring lots of motivation and determination to help you grown as well. I believe that real estate investing, whether that be passive or active investing and the financial freedom it brings. I have some experience in BRRRRs and house hacking. I'm interested in growing my knowledge in those areas and want to learn about fix and flips.

I'm very grateful and excited to be here and for the next chapter in my life
