Can I provide notice soon to not intend to renew a lease (no cause) of the section 8 tenant--this is a 12 month lease that ends 10/31/24.  Of course it would be more than 90 days notice so they could rent until  Jan 31, 2025.

Housing Authority said I do not have to give a just cause if I provide notice prior to October 31.  Do you know if I would be required to help them with moving costs like a month of rent, or 2 or 3 months?

Thank you

Can I provide a 90 day notice to Housing Authority Tenant that I do not intend continue renting after the 12 month lease ends on October 31st with no cause. It would state rental would end on Jan 31, 2025.

If I provide the notice prior to the end of the12 month lease (October 28) do I still have to pay them several months of rent to help them transition to another rental?  Thank you!

Does anyone know if we give a Housing Authority Tenant notice that we do not intend continue renting (and provide a 90 day minimum notice). Our 12 month lease ends October 31st for San Jose, CA. When is the latest date we have to provide the notice in order to not have to pay their moving expenses?    We do not want to list the actual cause (to avoid eviction), and if we list as no cause, do we still have to pay them several months rent for them to move? (if we provide the notice prior to the end of October 31?). Thank you!
