I rent a out a room in my home to a person on a month to month basis. We agreed a 30 day notice must be given to vacate. From the way I read my state rules the 30 day notice goes both ways. The person must give me notice and I also have the right to give them 30 day notice if I decide to not rent anylonger. I am considering not renting anylonger. According to what my state has writen the person would become a tresspasser and can be arrested if they refuse to leave if I should givee them notice. Is my interpretation correct ? I live in Michigan.
