Appreciate the response @Jonathan Paul Shortt, your answers to not just my questions but the others as well have been really helpful! Glad to hear things are going so well and it sound like the one problem is a good one to have haha! If you don't mind another question, I'm curious as to how your 10% down payment worked, that's something I'd be interested in but I thought there were some limitations in terms of how you could use the property.

@Jonathan Paul Shortt Looking at your cabin on VRBO and looks fantastic! I'm also in DFW looking potentially at Broken Bow for my first STR. I'm in the same boat when it comes to property management as everything I've seen is crazy high. Curious as to how it is going for you, specifically about finding cleaners and maintenance?

Thanks @Mike Khalil, I’ll make sure to keep them in mind once I begin reaching out!
Sorry for the double comment, but noticed someone else bringing up other areas. If looking elsewhere, some other good areas to consider would be Greenville as mentioned already, also areas near White Rock Lake and Oak Lawn are nice, and probably a little cheaper. An area that’s grown a lot recently, although not sure about inventory outside of apartments is the Design District. These are all recommendations though as someone who lived in the area recently, not necessarily from an investment standpoint as I’m looking in different markets.
Can’t speak from an investment standpoint but from a neighborhood perspective it’s great. Access to the Katy Trail, easy to get to other areas of downtown. I used to live right on the border of uptown and Knox/Henderson and if it wasn’t for other circumstances that’s where m wife and I would have ended up next.

I’m getting close to starting my search with a partner and looking for accountants and/or attorneys to help work on the structure of the business. Does anyone have any recommendations in the area?

Hey Everyone! It's been a while since any threads about Lubbock have come up and was wondering people's thoughts on the current market there. I graduated from Texas Tech and love the city and would love to invest there. Currently, live in the DFW market but with prices as high as they are Lubbock is attractive, especially given my familiarity with the area.
Personally looking at small multi-family properties (under 20 units), although still interested on hearing people's opinions on the market as a whole. Looking forward to hearing your takes and possibly connecting!
