I currently searching to purchase my second home. I purchases my first home using FHA 2 family and I rented it out. All the banks are saying I will have to put down 25% which I am trying to put down like 5 or 10%. Any suggestions??

Screening process. Credit limit, income level and DTI ratio, etc. regarding section 8 I don't know because I haven't rented to any. I used a real estate agent to rent our both my apartments however, you can do it on your own. Overall the area has potential

I currently own a rental proton Poughkeepsie it’s a good opportunity however you will get a lot of section 8 possibilities. Once you have a detail checklist you should be fine

@Evan Polaski my closing lawyer handed me a lease that he uses for his units. I also connect with a few friends that currently rent units and they have me copies.

Thanks all. I haven’t started the screening process as yet. But I will definitely have detail application process and do my due diligence when interviewing each tenant. Also the COVID-19 rider is also a great option.

Hi everyone, I recently purchased my first home which is a 2 family home located in Poughkeepsie NY. This is actually my first venture. I plan to rent both units out within the next month. My question is what are some of the measures I can put in place throughout the application process and when I decide on tenants to safe guard my investment during COVID-19 and dishonest tenants who are looking for opportunity to use the system to get a pass?
