I am a full time agent in Bar Harbor and fyi they have imposed an ordinance requiring STR permits only available to those also claiming the property as their primary residence. Thanks Eddie, sorry for late reply but really appreciate your asking - yes, Monday or Tuesday nights are when I'm consistently available - that being said I appreciate the momentum you guys have created for Thursday nights and understand if you keep it there. I may make them on occasion it's just challenging with childcare duties. Thanks again for asking and hopeful to get together soon!

As a full-time agent/budding investor, I regularly work with buyers of STRs on Mount Desert Island and the Acadia region, and all the news has been mostly good regarding rates and occupancy levels for this summer and fall. June was 75% fog and rain which surely led to some cancellations (and a long season coaching my son's little league team!), but anecdotally from traffic and numbers of people on the trails and in the shops and restaurants, I can say July's felt like it's seen the typical soaring demand for this area at this time of year. I have 2 midterm rentals nearer the Blue Hill Peninsula (another great nearby area for long-term STR seekers to check out) which booked immediately back in Apr/May thru Oct.
