Hey guys,

I'm planning to convert my 1 story 1000 sqrft home to a 2 story 2200 srft home, in los angeles, CA.   My house is so old that financially it's not worth keeping anything. But I hear there are benefits (tax & ...)to keeping some parts to declare it as a remodel to city/state.

What are the benefits and how do i figure out more details about it?

Thanks,

Peter

Hey Guys,

I have a single family house in a good neighborhood in Los Angeles and I'm planning to rebuild it and do a major addition. I was wondering which house style would bring the highest value in today's market. (ie: modern, modern contemporary, roman and ....)

I would appreciate links to pictures as well.

details: 2500 sqrft building, lot 5000, 2 stories, flat land, 4 bed 3 bath.

Best,

Peter

is there a website or a phone number?

Hey Guys,

I'm wondering what your experience is renting to a psychic, they want to put up a sign and do business from the house. The house is in a bit of a upscale area so I'm a little worried about it and I don't know what to expect. I'd appreciate if you'd share your experience.

Thanks

I own properties in Los Angeles CA and I intentionally bought them close to each other so I can manage them easier. So if a big one hits near my neighborhood its a big problem. I worry about this too. Earthquake insurance is kind of expensive and there is %15 deductible for around here which for average properties cost of $500,000 is $75,000. My thinking is that, its very rare to have and earthquake that costs me more than $75000 in repairs. And if we get a big one that can cause that much damage then the insurance companies will bail. But I 'm still looking for solutions.

What do you guys think, (specially in California) ?
