@Shawn Mcenteer interesting idea that I have not thought of. Would figure that corporates generally stay at the major chains. Any areas you have found success here?

@Andrew Steffens awesome, thanks for commenting!
That's the first time I have heard of Ventnor. Will start doing some research on towns near AC. Assuming that $100k is nearly 100% occupancy in season?
What are some other spots you have previously managed?

Find a local experienced real estate broker that works exclusively with investors. Their knowledge, experience and connections will be well worth it.
Thanks, Mike - much appreciated! That was part of the hope in posting here. Looking for any local brokers that might have expertise in some of these locals.

Hi All!
I am interested in STRs near NYC to take advantage of new tax law and depreciation to offset W2 income. Would love to chat with anyone who specializes in areas similar to the below.
- Long Island (Fire Island, Hamptons, Northfork)
- New Jersey (Jersey Shore)
- PA (Poconos)
- Upstate NY (Catskills, Fingerlakes, etc)
- Any other areas where it is still reasonable to have material participation (unsure of the real test here / if other geos are a no-go for tax reasons)
Clearly still a fair bit of research needs to be done on my end but would love to speak to some professionals to hone in on where I should be researching and learning more…
Thanks in advance for all the advice!

Interested in hearing responses as well. In a similar situation in NY.
Would love to hear any experiences in more investor friendly markets like Florida, Alabama, Ohio, Georgia, etc.
Interested to hear if anyone has had any luck?
