Thanks to all who replied to this thread. I will be attending the Green Bay and Appleton meetups and I hope to meet you locals there sooner or later. I am starting to see that Bigger Pockets is a very valuable resource to investors and property managers. Do any of you use the state specific leases that BP offers and if so, do you leave all the language? I have my own leases but Bigger Pockets leases are very inclusive and easy to use.

Hello BP followers. I have been investing in real estate for some time now and operate a property management and property maintenance business but haven't really used Bigger Pockets. I'm going to be moving soon from Nebraska to Wisconsin and I am looking to network with local investors in the Green Bay, Appleton areas. If you are interested in networking, lets meet up.

I haven’t used BP in quite a while however I have been attending as many meetups as possible and have acquired a couple investments since moving to Omaha in June.

I thought I would have collided with you at a meetup by now but haven’t.

My question is “have you requested the current tennant’s lease?”

“Is the current tenant under a lease?”

If so, you will have to honor that lease until it expires. I have been reading the thread and haven’t seen these questions yet.

Also, be wary of increasing rents without adding value to your tenants otherwise you may end up with 100% vacancy and a less than reputable image as a landlord.

Thank you for reaching out Antoine, Max, Kyle and Noah. My wife and I are planning a trip out to Omaha to scout our future home the weekend of April  6-8 or/and 13-16. I look forward to meeting up with all who can find time to hear my story and share theirs. I’m thinking lunch and conversation. Between now and then, I’m open to questions and suggestions through the forums. This is going to be a huge lifestyle change so I want to build trustworthy relationships and hit the ground running when I arrive.

My wife  just matched to the Children’s Hospital program in Omaha for her 3 year residency and we will be moving to the area in early June. I am looking for agents, wholesalers, possibly another investor, and a guide or business partner for future endeavors in Omaha. I have a history in house hacking and experience on Airbnb. I am from Wisconsin and travel often.

Once established, I intend on participating in meetups and REA meetings if invited.
