Thanks @Darren Smith I appreciate it. no I in have not yet made it to any REIA meetings but Dave from this post filled me in on a couple that are in the area.

Thanks for the advice too. I have been trying to get started, and I completely agree about finding someone who needs help looking at deals and would be more than willing to do so. I plan on going to a few meetings and networking to find someone who would be willing to accept my help while giving me a chance to gain some valuable knowledge.

@David Krulac Thanks David. do you have the group meeting times and locations for these meetings or are they available on a website? I appreciate the info and would certainly like to meet you.

@Jerry W. thanks for thr advice, I certainly want to get a good feel for good deals before I start making moves. And from what ive seen, BP seems to be a wealth of knowledge.

@John Moore thanks John. When researching for real estate investing BP certainly blew me away with the range of topics and insightful responses to questions. Im certainly glad to be apart of it.

@Kim Lutes I appreciate it Kim, I will certainly take you up on that.

@Andrew Bosworth thanks Andrew, we will have to keep in touch, what area of real estate investing is your primary focus?

@Jon Klaus thanks Jon, I appreciate the welcome. I look forward to discovering what potential this area really has.

@Paul Timmins thank you for the materials and advice. I absolutely want to attend different REIA club meetings and network as much as possible. Its also good to know that good deals are being discovered here in PA, I will have to look into these tax repository sales. Thanks again

@Bill Scott yea thats probably a good idea. I dont plan on bringing that up nor is it in my plans to work there too much longer. But thanks for the advice.

hello everyone. My name is Philip Kilmer IV, im from a small town in Juniata County and recently moved to Harrisburg Pennsylvania where I work for the Dept of Revenue. I went to The Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a degree in Economics from the Smeal Business College. Ive always been extremely interested in investing and have really turned my attention to real estate. I have absolutely no backround or experience, but after doing some research I have decided to focus on wholesaling. I have seen plenty of the get rich quick schemes by all the "gurus" and am extremely skeptical, however after reading through some forums here, I still desire to begin my real estate investing career with wholesaling. I have no money to really get started, so my options are limited. But at this stage I am just gathering as much information and attaining as much knowledge as I possibly can, in order to begin my real estate investing career the right way. I believe there is great potential here in Harrisburg despite the city's recent economic conditions. I'm excited to get started, and appreciate any tips and knowledge you guys can pass on. I look forward to speaking with you, and thanks for taking the time to read my intro. Be blessed!
