New Investor here. I was wondering if it's possibly to start out in RE investing with only $7K? I'm very interested in rental properties but would also consider wholesaling as well but don't know if $7,000 is enough to start out with. Any tips?

Hello, My name is Phil and I'm a recent college graduate looking to start investing into real estate. As of now I am looking for buy and hold rentals and I'm looking for advice on how to get started. Browsing through BP and listening to the podcasts are very helpful but was wondering if someone could go a bit further. Right now, since newly graduated my funds are low but not too bad so I am definitely trying to find a deal with now or low money down. I'm located on Long Island NY but I'm not opposed in investing else where. Thank you.
