Hello, I have been reading and doing research for several months I didn't think I was ready yet but a rental property has fallen in my lap.  A family member died leaving me his acreage and older mobile home in Tallapoosa, GA its in between Atlanta and Birmingham, AL.  His funeral was the only time I have ever been to the area nor do I know anyone else in the area. I am looking to connect with someone who can tell me about the area.  The lot has 2 run down residences 1 of which has an existing tenant. I mainly just want to know about the area so that I can make a educated decision on the property once the probate situation is complete. Thanks in advance.

Hi all not sure what to say here.  I am Air Force currently living in La Crosse, WI I am starting my real estate journey now in preparation for my retirement in Jan 2032.  I have previously done a live in flip and my current place I have the thought to turn the basement into a MTR.  I am currently in the learning phase just taking in everything I can before actually going out to look for a deal; my wife has also said our house needs to be done first!  I plan to start attending the meet ups here in La Crosse, if you live nearby say hi I love to meet new people.  Also I work south of Tomah and have family in Waukesha County so I am all over the state; reach out if you are in those areas as well!
