So they have given me deposit, + first months rent + second month's rent.  So far so good.  Well behaved kids, and they are both nice people.  Now either I'm naive or i believe we all deserve chances.  Now, if they smelled like pot or kids were wild and looked a mess, i would have second thoughts.  

The male works many hours and gets over 20 hours of overtime most weeks, and earns a pretty decent wage for this area.  I doubt he would mess up a good thing for drugs....

We had a long talk, and I am confident i made the right decision especially month to month for the first 6 months at least.

Hi,  I am renting out my first house and trying to get someone in there in the next few weeks.  I have a couple that are really interested, but the male has a felony (schedule II PITS) female has shopped lifted in past (distant).  He sent me pay stubs and doing quit well.  Should i rent to them, and if I do should I do a 3 month lease initially?

I am also a medical professional (35y.o) and just bought my first SFH.... finishing the last touches and it will be rent ready. I live in eden, nc, but also looking to invest in durham as it is definately a place for the most growth potential in the triangle area.

   I am just starting out.  I bought a rental in NC and someone told me that the rent money has to go into a separate account that just is for rental income.... is this true?
